About Us

Urban Sketchers (USk) Chicago is a regional chapter of Urban Sketchers International, a network of artists around the world who draw the cities where they live and travel to. We are an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to fostering a global community of artists who practice on-location drawing. We’re Urban Sketchers Chicago (aka USk Chicago), a group of sketchers who live in and near Chicago, Illinois and are dedicated to sketching on location. We share our drawings online and meet monthly to sketch together. Monthly meetups are announced on our Facebook page and our blog. In addition to Facebook and the blog, we also share sketches and ideas on Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest!

About the Seminar

We are offering an exciting seminar on May 31st – June 2nd, 2019 to help absolute beginners and experienced artists alike develop the sketchbook habit, try new things, and practice sketching in public. Workshops will be taught on the sidewalks and in the parks of Chicago, giving ample opportunities for you to practice sketching the motion of this city. We hope you’ll join us!
